New York Comic Con 2013

It is the opening day of the New York Comic Con! The event will start today and close on Sunday 13th October and I can honestly say I’d love to be there. I’d love to be able to go to any Comic Con to be honest but this year’s New York Comic Con has some pretty cool guests.

Some of the guests that are set to appear are:

Stan Lee

Stan Lee

  • Stan Lee – the one and only grandaddy of the comic universe. It is probably the dream of every comic loving geek on this planet to meet this man and shake his hand. He will be appearing at the New York Comic Con on Saturday and I envy all those lucky people who get to meet him. He is the man responsible for some of the greatest Superheroes and Villains were created! Could we call him the God of all geekdom?
Patrick Stewart

Patrick Stewart

  • Patrick Stewart – For many he is Captain John Luc Picard but to me he is Professor X! I would give everything I had to be able to meet this man. This Shakespearean legend will be at the Comic Con on Sunday to sign a few autographs and talk to some very lucky fans. If I had that chance I would probably talk to him about his epic appearance on Sesame Street. Haven’t seen it? Check it out on Youtube for a brilliant Shakespearean rendering of the letter ‘B’. Of course I would also talk to him about X-men and being the one and only Charles Xavier.
Jerome Flynn

Jerome Flynn

  • Jerome Flynn – For any of you that don’t know, this man plays probably one of the funniest, but deadliest characters in Game of Thrones. Bronn, the sell-sword working for Tyrion Lannister. I don’t know about you but I would love to have a chat with this man. He has given us some very classic quotes from the Game of Thrones series…most of which are littered with bad words that I couldn’t possibly put on here!

There will also be several panels which will include: 25th Anniversary of Chucky, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and The Walking Dead. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will also be there to talk X-Files. Colin Baker, the 6th Doctor, will be there to talk all things Doctor Who. Will some lucky fans get some insight into the eagerly anticipated 50th Anniversary Episode? I know I’d try to wring the information out of him!

On Saturday fans will also be able to see more of the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Origins game, set to release at the end of the month. I know I’d be the first in line to hear all there is to hear about the production of this game.

Can we expect anything like what happened at the San Diego Comic Con (I’m referring to the Loki incident that nearly broke the internet)? Unlikely but it will still be brilliant for any lucky person who is going along. Plus wouldn’t it be great if the Belfast Comic Con in 2014 could be exactly like this!
